Yea but don't kill it... Moss is one of nature's many fascinating microbiological wonders I can't wait to learn more about local mosses.

I suppose I'm fortunate. Most of my friends in this each city have massive vegetable gardens for back yards. There's a considerable population of DIY and Hacker/Maker culture here, both in tech and in farming.

We have an independent community foundry for robotics, custom 3D-printing, and other project-based interests, and similar cooperatives who offer their knowledge about local farming and other specialized skills.

It's not a bad town.

Soooooo jealous! Any future local operations like that would likely need to be organized by me, and unfortunately, I tend to off-put people... Shocking, I know. I'll probably eventually organize the local special needs community, however. They're actually quite well-suited to permaculture projects.

How the **** do you transplant roof moss? It's embedded into your roof. You spray evil sauce onto it until it dies and hope it stays dead, otherwise you have to buy a new roof. ****ing hippies.

Depends on the type of colony. Sure you're not confusing it with mold?

This Old House sez:

Quote:
The black mold-like stains and streaks that appear on roofs, particularly light-colored asphalt shingles, is actually a blue-green algae (Gloeocapsa magma). Commonly found in climates with warm, humid summers, it does no damage to the roofing, but it certainly does looks bad.

****ing moss, you daft bint. That green fuzzy **** that's like really soft astro turf. That **** ruins your ****ing roof. Ask a contractor about "moving the colony" and they'll look at you like you're a ****ing retard.
