I'm thinking about quitting my degree. Science in theory is not the same thing as science in reality, which is an enterprise that revolves around politics and money. The amount of misery my own work causes me is probably not worth getting to tell how cool I am (which is something I think about doing, but never end up actually doing because my own work never seems interesting or impressive after I've done it).

so far today has been great, bought some new shirts, got a new coat
and got food a few days ago... things are getting better i think. eat at a food place today in the mall.
looked for some shoes but couldnt find any that i liked.

My brother is a professional scientist and really enjoys what he does. So it's possible. What kind of science are you majoring in?

My step brother is a bio major who graduated from Penn State. Took him about 10 years to find an enjoyable career. He started out doing lab tests on beagles

he never bitched about politics though.
