Best I ever saw was this sign, verbatim
"Entrance in rere".
Yes, Batty, we know.

But yeah, apostrophes in the wrong place/lack of them does my head in too. Jesus Christ, people! It's a simple rule: are you talking about possessive or not? It's not ****ing rocket science!

I work with ****ing engineers and could correct basically every sentence they write.
What are you going to expect from the uneducated scum of society.

I was honestly worried for my job though, not because of a grammar correction, but after a talk from my boss about how I needed to stop that ****, I remembered that there was a paper up in the break room with the name of our district's HR director, which is literally "Bernie Bernier" (his parents are *******s). I had obviously added "Berniest" at the end, and this had not been seen for some time, so I wasn't sure if when someone eventually saw it that they wouldn't come down on me like a sack of bricks, but luckily the paper has since been removed with no comment to me about it.

Oh my god I still can't believe how much that **** makes me laugh.

Good one.
But do you mean that you could be fired for correcting spelling/grammar of others? Surely not. That would be unreasonable, would it not? Unfair dismissal?

In full disclosure several of my corrections over the years have gone without comment, but the one that arised my boss's ire was one that just so happened to be targeted directly at me without naming me for doing stupid ****. It was a cartoonishly bad announcement though. Like, an entire sentence was just plain illogical and made no sense.

I don't care how stupid/annoying it is or was. Unless they have another reason for firing you, they let you go over this you can take them to the cleaners. No way is that any kind of dismissable offence.

They would of course pretend that they fire him for another reason. As if one would be hard to find.

Yeah, this is true. I suppose the challenge would be deciding which one to use.
