If you steal something that means the other person doesn’t have it anymore

You can’t steal from corporations because they’re not the rightful owners of anything. You’re taking something that has always belonged to you anyway.

I hear that when you steal cds from the stores the artist still gets paid because the store already paid for it.

It hasn't necessarily belonged to you so much as the ownership has been so discombobulated that it has no ownership.
