I dated someone for nearly three years that literally couldn't function without anti-depressants because of trauma from her previous relationship. It was ****ing awful to see the toll it took on her from day to day, but since then I've seen her stand back up and slowly transition to a healthier frame of mind. Definitely was no cakewalk.

And elph...bud, I could give you a mountain of life advice but I just get the feeling you'd find some excuse not to take action.

I'm not callous. Just making a point. For the first twenty years of my life I struggled with the worst type of asthma, constantly in and out of the hospital, on top of ultimately being the only breadwinner in my family when my parents both became unable to work for different reasons.

And then to top it all off, my younger brother dies of a brain aneurysm with no warning while we were both visiting my parents when nobody else is around, and I try to resuscitate him to no avail. (he was Terrible Lizard here on MusicBanter). He had worked his way through college and was on the verge of graduation too. Whoops.

So yeah, life can suck. So my advice to anyone who feels like they are at their lowest is that A. it can always be worse and B. figure out what you want to fight for, even if it's not the most exciting thing or niche. It's the easiest thing in the world to box yourself into misery. The terrible and the wonderful have the unfortunate tendency to coexist in the same space, so sometimes its hard to see one thing through the other.

Lucem, you're right, it's silly to talk about what I would or wouldn't do IRL. Glad you brought it up. Maybe you should write an instrumental about it. I recommend a piano paired with a clarinet. With ambient sounds of you hanging from your shower curtain you ****ing failure.

In this day and age, everyone is bipolar. Being diagnosed as such is like the doctor telling you you're a bipedal humanoid.

Nope. Way too many people that don't understand what it's like to be bipolar. Then again, bipolar effects people extremely different. Some people get borderline schizophrenic when they go through a manic episode.

Lately I need very little sleep.
I used to need my 8 hours but nowadays I'm completely rested and sharp after just 5-6.
Kinda awesome also a bit weird and worrying.

It’s either stage four bone cancer or full blown AIDS.
