Holler out from behind the counter something like “don’t be putting anything in your bag before you pay for it, please”

If it escalates call the police. If it’s a small item just print out their picture from CCTV and put it on file or do whatever the procedure is. I’m not physically approaching anyone. Not calling 5-0 for a bag of Doritos.

Good answer except for the last part (even though I'm with you on it). I'd say that you would call the police for repeat offenders or say something more vague like you wouldn't unnecessarily escalate the situation or something along those lines.

What else will they ask? My last interview tripped me up (if you remember) about that anger question. Looks like I’m not getting that job either. Pained sigh.

This question kills me:

Why do you want to work at 7-Eleven?

There’s nothing even remotely in the realm of honesty that won’t disqualify me. Lying is one thing but that’s baffling af. It’s like “trick question, nobody wants to work at 7-11.”

I'm not good or experienced with these things but your graveyard answer sounds fine.
It might be ideal if you could apply for a job where your weirdness would be appreciated, but employers that appreciate weirdness are sadly not that common I guess

Ja it's a toughie, nobody wants to work at 7/11. They know that too, so maybe something like "I'm good with [relevant bull****], so I think I'd be a good fit for the job."
