It was weird. I got away with murder. I thought I’d get complaints but I didn’t. I sat down during the pledge everyday as well. The kids just started ignoring it as well.

my fav teacher was tenured and on his final year before retirement

talk about not giving a ****

it's kind of an impressive lack of accountability at that point, really, is there anything they can do?

he gave me an "eh, why not, A in the class"

Depends on the nature of the tenure. I was tenured but Florida legislature kept chipping at it because they’re dishonest ****s who don’t hold up their end of the bargain and the neolibs led the charge destroying tenure. The republicans didn’t support us but at least they were ambivalent.

Any teacher can give bull**** grades at any level as long as they bump up.

Even to the point taking it seriously, neolibs were the ones who aggressively didn’t trust teachers to make the correct decisions for the students instead deciding with a Washington based bureaucracy that never even met the kids we were spent hours with every week. Road to hell good intentions. Government knows best everything from education to medicine.
