Sci fi horror is the only horror I haven't gotten into simply because I haven't seen the classics and it always makes me think of terrible horror movies from franchises that used it as a gimmick like Jason X.

Edit: Technically Re-Animator is Sci fi horror but it feels more like body horror.

But slashers aren't the only horror. TBH, Nightmare On Elm Street is a lot of lost potential that I feel like could become something that ****s with you in the right hands. Dude is supposed to be this surreal dream ghost that feeds off of your inner fears and the best they can do is this kind of ****.



I don't watch slashers for something that can **** with you and most American horror is just Marvel movies with a demented plot. The only horror movie that's really ever ****ed with me as an adult was Lake Mungo.
