been waterboarding myself to get rid of nasal congestion. Just sucking water up my nose from my hands so the cold water makes my nose feel better. I sucked water up fast and it just felt like jumping into a pool and water going up your nose, not too bad. The cold water up the nose helps the best though.


I have the spray stuff but am scared to use it.

The first sentence made me fall down two flights of stairs laughing but if I might I suggest running a small amount of water from a faucet, going in with your head sideways, and carefully inhaling the stream through one nostril. I've tried what you're doing with this method and it works without being a shotgun blast to your sinuses.

I have been just doing my water in the hands method and sucking water up just a little bit and thats been working great. My mom tonight mentioned some nutty pot thing but that seems like you're just pouring water into your brain. Slightly like what you're talking about I think

Also try the netting pot like I told your mom to tell you, they work wonders.

Yeah that's what I'm describing but proletarian. I heard about a netting pot and just used a faucet and it worked real good.

You can also use a turkey baster or hook a garden hose to your favourite gas-siphoning tube.

Seriously, you know what worked for me, Mindy? I would boil a cup of water, throw a little Ben Gay into it for menthol, and breathe in the steam. It not only relieved my congestion, it knocked out the cold I was suffering from at the time. (Watch Frownie and Batlord go bonkers with the Ben Gay part )

There are nasal sprays to free one's nose. They work great. Are those not common in the US or are they too expensive or something?

The only one that ever worked for me was Sinex (a Vicks product). I can't take that anymore because of my high blood pressure so I'm stuck with old wives cures that I come up with. I have no idea what would work on Mindy.
