Forgive the ignorance. I don't eat cheese.
Yes, looks like the below. I'm sure there's a lot of applications for it besides just cheese.

Oh, one of those. I've seen that thing before. To quote Cookie Monster, I am no monster foodie, or so it would seem.

Maybe it's because that utensil was invented here, but the thought of someone not having one and taking years into adulthood before they get one is somewhat alien. Every kitchen has at least one here. As soon as you move out, you get your own.

I sometimes use it to peel carrots.

We have a separate peeler for carrots and potatoes, as well as an actual cheese grater. This thing is handy specifically for cheese in thin sheets.

I don't like using the cheese grater. It's so hard to clean. I prefer to delegate that task to the missus. I'd rather chop onions.

I don't have one of those cheese slicers at home. I do have a large number of bottle openers. One brewery, whose beer I consumed a little too much back in the day, included a bottle opener in each 12 pack.

We had one when I was growing up, but then again we had just about every kitchen utensil ever made at the time. There were a few things I never figured out what the heck they did.

Now I gotta get one for the new place.
