Another pretty bog standard day... looking forward to a day off now to break the cycle of monotony... ahhh well!

yesterday my band recorded a song with actual studio equipment, or however you call a bunch of mics, mixers, PAs and a computer program in a dude's attic . but yeah, we're gonna be working on a sort of demo with our stuff.

we also got live footage of two songs on our myspace, so feel free to check them out if you want.

Shiiiiiit! I got new brake pads and roters for both back tires and a new caliper and caliper bracket for the back left for about 300 bucks. Then had to take it to a shop for them to bleed the brakes because my boyfriend apparently never learned how to do that and let air into the line. they only charged me 70 for that last part.

What all did you have to do for your car?

New pads, shoes, etc, and they completely replaced the brake lines. My back wheel was completely locked up for some reason, so I had to have it towed to the shop.

I somehow got persuaded to play in a 5-a-side (football) tournament today, so I'm bloody exhausted. Sprained my writing wrist too, so it actually hurts slightly to type which is a royal pain in the arse.

So, last night was the worst. I met a girl over last.fm who had a halfway decent taste in music, and who also happened to live near me. This got me excited because I don't know anyone within 30 miles of me that has a similar music taste. Anywho, I agreed to meet her and see what was up. So she picks me up and within 10 minutes I am furious with myself. She's loud, way too into herself, physically unattractive and the worst kind of music elitist there is; the kind that's desperate for acceptance by other music elitists. She spends the entire duration we are together talking about how she's never been able to talk to anyone about music and how her taste is so unique and superior. I'm like, seriously? Get the **** over it, I've spent my entire life not knowing anyone with proper taste and somehow I've survived. Listening to algernon cadwallader for a year and being way too obsessed win the kinsellas doesn't mean you're the ****. I ended up telling her that I had to drive way down south later that night so I could get away. Luckily she believed me and I was able to get ****faced and see Harry potter with some friends.
