Got to be honest, when I think of Japan I think of this. Really takes me back to my childhood, staying up late to watch this, not having a clue what it was but enjoying it anyway.

Haven't clicked on the vid, but I can that see it says The Water Margin in the thumbnail. The Water Margin is a chinese story, not japanese (unless it's like a samurai version, in which case fuck that shit).

Japanese made, based yes on Chinese literature. Back then, I barely knew the difference. I was about 10.
Monkey was the same: didn't stop me enjoying it to the max!
