I've never understood the concept of music videos. Even as a lad the promise never lived up to the hype and it was just "Oh, here's a thing to watch while the music plays. Maybe it'll be funny or something." I mean how dumb do you have to be to think that the visual is supposed to actually be a representation of the song or whatever and not just something to get people to sit still in front of the TV?

Almost as dumb as thinking that videos can't be a good representation of or complementary to the music because of lazy asses trying to hop onto the MTV model.

I guess if the director isn't just some ****ing fresh from doing Maybelline commercials who doesn't give a **** about Tool or Madonna or Jay-Z and they also just so happen to have talent for expressing music through a visual media. Then it will probably still be bull****.

I love videos, gives the song a second shot in my opinion to get my to like it and add to a playlist for future listens.

Ja probably. I'm not against the medium though.

Bitch, Frown is just sticking up for all forms of artistic expression for the sake of sticking up for all forms of artistic expression. Either he agrees with me and isn't admitting it or he fondly remembers some 90s videos and is full of ****.

I mean I'm not technically against the medium either, but most videos I actually like I like because they're good videos rather than being good accompaniments to the song.

Depends. I don't think you can slap the This Is America or Songs for Swinging Larvae videos on any song and have them be successful though.
