Phone calls are kinda irritating, I agree. Whenever I'm on the phone, I just want to get the communication over with and hangup. I can't understand the people who can talk on the phone for hours. **** that. It's basically a one-way-at-a-time communication device. Can't understand sh1t that people are saying if you're talking.

Phone call like it's 1995? Lol. You're trying to date someone long distance. You need to talk to them on the phone or on video chat to see what kinda chemistry you have. You can't really get to know someone that way through text alone.

I'm someone who rarely makes phone calls and usually would avoid them but if you find someone you're really into then you should easily be able to stay on the phone with them for an hour. If you're sitting there wishing they'd hang up it's not the phone that is the problem, lol.

Talking on the phone is an important test for how well someone can carry on a conversation. I hate being stuck pulling all the weight, and a good sense of humor is deceptive over text - I need to hear a person in real time so I can judge their vibe and their personality without the benefit of editing themselves.

JWB beat me to it - it's feeling out the chemistry, exactly.

Yeah that's very true. I get that communication over the phone can feel complicated at first though, so like Soundgarden said maybe a video chat is nicer; seeing each other's face and facial expressions is important too

Congrats btw, I'm glad it seems to be going well
