it also does not criminalize menthol cigs, like, off the street...the FDA has no authority there

But basically the policy is to ban menthols cause those are the cigs preferred by black people on average? Is that the basic logic?

menthols are proven more likely to hook young smokers and are probably a bit more toxic

I got curious about a year ago as to why people smoke the cig brands they do

yeah and why not just ban cigs altogether if we're worried about the health risks?

Cause people will go ape****, that's why.

But banning menthols is gonna piss people off too, just less so. They're scared to go all in and ban cigs so they are just gonna make things less convenient for smokers and hope that gets people to stop.
