Honestly I think a more appropriate word is gangsta. What they did was gangsta as **** even if they were dumb ****s who were bound to fail. Cops were fired over the breach. Definitely gangsta move by trumpers. Who would've guessed that if you talk like a dictator/mob boss for 4 years some idiots might actually take you serious and follow through on the threat.

I think these two things are not equivalent

nobody ever got cancelled who didnt deserve it

plus conspiracy theories do real damage, a Cancellation just means losing your left wing audience at worst
