I'm weirdly obsessed with monarchy/monarchy scandals. She was a Nazi **** up but still interesting to read about how an American divorcée almost became Queen consort of England

Right now I am reading Founding Brothers. It is a book about the Founding Fathers and how they all are interrelated.

Reading the Gormenghast novels, I read they are Robyn Hitchcocks favorite books. Loving them.

I'm reading The Hobbit again. I have read it twice before but I'm planning to go to see that movie and I decided it would be good to read it again. This time in English though. It seems like many shades and levels disappear when a book is translated to another language. I have start a project to read all my childhood favorites, like above-mentioned The Hobbit, again, but in English. It is interesting how a bad translation can make a book much worse than it really is.

Reading the Chinese classic, The Tao Te Ching, translated by Stephen Mitchell. I've read the book many times and in several translations over the years but Mitchell's may be the best translation yet. Fantastic book:

At the insistence of many people, mainly a certain dominatrix that frequents these forums, I got around to picking up the Song of Ice and Fire series and am ankles-deep in Game of Thrones. It's great, I have a feeling I'm gonna like the Jon Snow character a lot. Lady Stark is a cvnt.

I hope you're reading C.S. Lewis as well, they're right up there with the Hobbit.
