I honestly have never seen a Nicholas Cage movie that I have ever hated and this one was quite impressive. Not action packed per se but extremely well written (kudos to Jared Leto whom I have not seen with a decent part since "My So Called Life") as it describes the life of a weapon seller from the 1980s up.

I really enjoyed the movie myself. Jared Leto was pretty good in Requiem for a dream also.

Re-watched this a few days ago. Really well put together documentary by Sidney Pollack about the insane architechture of Mr Gehry. I think any fan of architechture would enjoy this.

I liked it, although Kate Winslet's acting was a bit unconvincing.

So are you saying that you liked Wickerman? It's kind of odd to see a fellow Nic Cage fan though it seems like he gets so much unwarranted hate.

Fantastic documentary! I really enjoyed the informative animated bits.

I can't really comment on his stance, or what he thinks we need to do to fix our schools, but I do know our education system is screwed.

I think that Nicholas Cage is a very flexible actor which is hard to find in movies these days. I mean, he can do comedies, action movies, dramas yet does not play the role the same way every time and there is no particular role you always associate with him (such as Keanu Reeves.....no matter what movies he does I still see him as Ted from "Bill and Ted" saying "Duuude.....even in the Matrix I was just waiting for "Duuuude") when you are watching a film featuring him as someone else. As I said, I never saw a Nic Cage movie I ever hated (Ok slight annoyance on "Season of the Witch" ) but I think that the fact he doesn't look like he is aiming for an Oscar every time he chooses a role makes the film a decent watch.

"Requiem for a Dream" is a film I haven't seen yet. Seems interesting if not to see Jared Leto in another good film.

so-so, Legion was so much better

i thought the vampires and creatures looked plastic, but it never takes itself very seriously - the way it recycles obvious cliches is meant to look like it's derivative of other action movies

and Paul Bettany is good as usual

I thought Priest was far more imaginative and fun then Legion. All the back story is summed up in like 5 minutes which is great.

You got steampunk, post apocalypse, western, kung fu, train robberies, it was a pretty satisfying movie expireance.

The only thing I really detested was the guy who played Priests partner, the sheriff of the town, such a awful actor.
