I certainly will considering you have good taste in a lot of things. It usually takes a couple viewings on some of the "grower" films for it to click with me. I, along with a lot of other people, HATED Blade Runner when I first saw it. I don't anymore. Movies are funny that way.

In all honesty, I liked but didn't love Repo Man the first time I saw it many, many years ago. But then a couple years went by and I happened to catch it again, liked it, then could stop thinking about it. So I watched it again. And again. And again and again and again, and before I knew it, it was one of my favorite movies.

Good call on A Boy and His Dog by the way. Now that's a cult movie that I was really underwhelmed by.

And I wholeheartedly agree about Time Bandits too: great movie. I actually saw that in the theater when it first came out and loved it, though some of it terrified me (I was four). As an adult I've found I appreciate it on a whole different level, and probably love it even more.

Oh, and yeah, I thought Tideland was awful too.

Really sucks that I had to watch this dubbed over in English. I hate watching movies like that. I love listening to the language and and actual voices of the actors. This one was seriously porous. It took away from the film. However I did find it pretty good. I know the 2nd one is supposed to be the better one but I didn't see the masterpiece that some claimed it was. I found the storyline a bit messy. The action however was top notch and it was brutal in some moments but not over the top. I'm looking forward to the sequel.

Battle Beyond the Stars (1980)
Hadn't seen this one since I was a kid. Not horrible, but not great considering some of the people involved (Roger Corman, John Sayles). And, yes, the spaceship looks like it has boobs.

The Decline of Western Civilization Part II: The Metal Years (1988)
Honestly, I liked this a lot more than part I. Not only was Penelope Spheeris simply a better filmmaker at this point in her career, but the subjects of this movie were far more interesting to listen to than in the first film. I think the key is that all those hair metal guys knew they were acting like dumbasses, unlike the punks in the first film.

Pretty ****ing stupid stoner comedy, but with the right sense of humor and with the right group of friends, it's a blast. 6/10

Great English film trying to be a French film, and I mean that with no disrespect. The camera work was very good. The soundtrack was awesome, reminded me of Kubrick. Michael Gambon is a brilliant villain. The ending was brutal. Great film.

8.5/10

One of my favorite movies ever. I had to give it a re-watch since I just purchased it on blu-ray. What can I say that hasn't been said before? George C. Scott! Peter Sellers! Perfect and a much deserved and rare perfect rating from me.

Pretty nice look at the lower indie wrestling scene. Some good segments with Necro Butcher, Sabu...a little bit of Jim Cornette. Could have been better, but it was still a pretty interesting piece of viewing. I'd give it probably a 7/10.

I haven't seen Repo Man in years but it still remains on my list to buy. Classic film that just takes a few watches to get what it's all about. Ever seen Alex Cox's Straight To Hell? Shane MacGowan, Joe Strummer, Elvis Costello, Dennis Hopper, Jim Jarmusch and Grace Jones in one movie? Very odd take on a Western but it's a grower.

One of my favourite films. Peter Greenaway generally is far too arthouse and oblique for his own good (I have never made it past the first 30 mins of The Draughtman's Contract) yet this is absolutely sublime. Prospero's Books sails very close to being too much for me regarding Greenaway but it is visually stunning and is definitely worth at least one viewing.
