Brotherhood of the Wolf (2001)

A lot better than I was expecting it to be. The CGI for the wolf was pretty lame, even for it's time but the fight scenes were very well choreographed despite this weird habit the director had of doing the Zack Synder thing where the camera goes really fast, then slows down, then goes fast again. The film had a deep, intricate plot with a lot of intrigue and reminded me of other films set in that era (or around it) like From Hell (2001) and Sleepy Hollow (1999). The acting and script were pretty solid and there was a decent amount of nudity. My only real problem is the film kind of devolves from this tense thriller/ mystery and into this Church conspiracy to the point where it could easily be two films. Overall though it's a solid movie if you're looking for something different.

7/10

okay, so I'm not into the 3d gimmick at all, but I have a friend so deeply obsessed with the titanic movie that she wanted me to see it. I had never seen the titanic movie up until this point so GOD DAMN IT I DON'T EVEN CARE WHAT YOU GUYS HAVE TO SAY I CRIED LIKE A LITTLE BITCH AND GODDAMN THE DIRECTOR DID A GOOD ****ING JOB AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH JAMES CAMERON I HATE YOU FOR MAKING THIS MOVIE IT'S LIKE YOU GOT A TEAM OF NEUROSCIENTISTS TO COME UP WITH A PLOT TO EMOTIONALLY MANIPULATE VULNERABLE TEENAGED GIRLS TO INCONSOLABLE HEAPS OF SAD
9.5/10

I'd go as far as to say Barton Fink is in my top five. I think it's brilliant.

I've only seen it twice as it was meant to be seen and once on tv with commercials, so I think I could do to see it again if only to reflect on John Goodman's character. I think I got the rest down. I WOULD put it higher than I said in my last post. It might be my #5 of theirs.

I *think* it's the only Coen brothers flick I've seen in theaters. And the crowd didn't really get into it. I liked it personally, but will gladly give it last place on my Coen brothers list. That being said, I give it a 6.5/10. Would watch again.

Never saw Titanic and never will. Always found the idea of making a movie like that to be rather offensive to the people who were actually on the Titanic.

That is Hollywood... let's take a traumatic event where women watched their husbands, fathers, grandfathers, sons and so on... drown in front of them because of a women and children rule... and let's get 2 hot young stars to play fictional people who had no connection to the events in a love story. People won't think that is offensive will they? we can also have guns and attempted rape as well..

Yeah, blow me James Cameron, you and your blood money.

They're dead now. It's okay.

still stands. If I wanna see something on the Titanic, I will watch a documentary. If I wanna see a tragic love story, I will watch Romeo and Juliet (and not that crappy Decaprio version that the teenies love so much). Do not need to combine the two.
