What's The Latest Film You Have Seen?

A little disappointing after the previous outing from director and actor: The Hunger but this is a much more subtle film and the clues are there if you care to look.

Spoiler for spoiler alert:

If those scenes don't explain the film enough then look to the brother/sister subplot in the film.

Hey Buddy,

Last time i had watched The Avengers movie.
It is full of action and adventure.
I became a fan of the Ironman when i saw this movie.
I also love to watch TV shows.

Weird... I thought it was just "okay". The action was not paced well-- actually, it hardly even existed. I found myself bored and irritated at points, which is very odd for a Pixar film. Speaking of which, this felt more like a Dreamworks production than a Disney one as Disney doesn't usually do cheap ass and cleavage humor.

Overall, I'd probably rank this as the worst Pixar film that doesn't involve talking Cars. Though I heartily agree about the short film at the beginning-- one of the best I've seen, and worth the price of admission in itself.

But if you're looking for a childrens animated film set in a fantasy period, skip Brave and look no further than How to Train Your Dragon.

But talking of Shame, his sister's rendition of the Theme from New York, New York was bloody awful!

Creature From the Black Lagoon (1954)

I've been trying to educate myself on more films made before the 1970's, and even 1960's and fortunately Instant Netflix has opened up a pretty decent library. This film was pretty decent for it's time (I mean this was the decade when there was a movie about a gorilla from outer space who wore a diving helmet). The action was pretty good but the film did suffer a little from being formulaic, but that's not automatically a strike against it. Overall it's a film I would definitely revisit.

Spoiler for spoiler alert: The first 8-10 minutes are crucial. The endless circles the character makes around his apartment are a circle of his own making. He is bound by his own rules and cannot live his life any other way lest it lead to him questioning himself, which he never wants to. Despite the wedding ring on a potential suitor, it is entirely superfluous to his own needs and his pursuit of the married woman is the only goal but this almost identical shot is repeated at the film's end but he doesn't reciprocate because he understands who he is and doesn't like what he has become. He experiences erectile dysfunction for the only time in the film when he actually engages with someone yet the next scene sees him in the same hotel room happily banging a prostitute and achieving his goal.
