Nah we're still friends, who else on here is going to hold your hand and guide you through life.

BTW the first Evil Dead still spooks me and even at my age, I peek through my fingers at the gory parts.

I love the evil dead II, it was basically like instead of doing a direct sequel, just remake the first one, but parody yourself and poke fun at yourself. It is one of my favorite horror/comedy movies. It works more as a movie that just makes fun of itself.

The third one is more kid friendly, not totally, but more just a fun movie.

I love the whole trilogy.

This is the film that won the 2011 Jury Prize at Cannes. It's about the Child Protection Agency in Paris and what they deal with on a daily basis. The film goes through several different cases and events to try and portray a full year at the agency. What a film. The cast and direction was superb and the ending was lasting and memorable. There are a lot of heavy scenes in this one that make for kind of a depressing movie but the film has moments of humor to lighten the mood a bit. It's very dialogue driven and slow at times but it is to build good characters which if anybody reads my posts on a regular basis knows that I find it very important to have character development in such a serious film. I highly recommend this one.

I recently watched "Cool Hand Luke" (1967), which has Paul Newman as the main character. Seriously one of the best films I have seen in recent times, it's about a man who, once put into jail, refuses to conform and rebels against the accepted norms of the prison. Amidst amazing actings and subtle symbolism, it's seriously great. Best film I've seen since I watched "Pierrot le fou" (1965), about a month ago.

The Raid Redemption

I don't think I can adequately review this film with using the phrase "HOLY ****ING BALLS THAT WAS RETARDEDLY BADASS" so I'll just get it out of the way. Zero substance in this film but 110% badassery. I loved it. Some of the best fight scenes I've ever seen and the direction was flawless. There wasn't any of that shaky cam bull**** you see now. Just a perfect action film.

I saw this when it came out in cinemas a few months ago! I did enjoy it, but it doesn't have that much depth does it? Just extended fight scenes (which were really, really awesome).
