Qui gon also seemed alot wiser than Obi wan, i understand that in the 1st movie Obi wan is still under his training but Obi wan doesn't really portray the wisdom Qui gon showed so i agree, Liam woulda been better as Obi wan and a better guide to Anakin.

Recently i got netflix so ive been catching up on some movies ive missed.

21 and over

An entertaining party flick 6/10

Turbo

A Nascar snail kid flick that sucked! the whole movie is a cliché of an inspirational story using a snail and a fat mexican. 2/10

The Croods

Another kid flick but this one is about a caveman family but the movie was actually good, it's an inspirational flick as well but they played around with the concept of the film in a creative way. 8/10

Only Lovers Left Alive

first and foremost

leave it to Jim Jarmusch to almost instantly bring me back to my 17-18 year old self...making me feel like i was in a small smoke filled basement apartment with six friends high on nothing but coffee and watching Down by Law over and over again....thank you Mr Jarmusch

everything about this movie was perfect....Jarmusch's very unique eye, the soundtrack, the story and the actors

seriously he really went out and made a film that is easily as rich as the blood our protagonist drink....and thats almost what the whole film felt like.....like being surrounded and blanketed by rick complex liquid

i cannot put to words just how beautiful this film is on the eyes and ears....so i'll just stop trying.....if your a fan of Jim Jarmusch you know exactly what i'm talking about

Tom Hiddleston plays a perfect reclusive, suicidal rock star vampire living in Detroit

but for me

Tilda Swinton completely steals this movie...seriously every second she is on screen i was enthralled by her....playing Eve to Hiddleston's Adam....she flys from Tangier to Detroit to help her ailing husband

Jarmusch manages to take an already attractive Swinton and turn her into the most beautiful creature to ever walk earth....in both physical and intellectual attraction

other notes of performance must go to John Hurt who plays Marlowe...and aging vampire friend

and to Mia Wasikowska who plays Eve's sister Ava

it is just so fucking refreshing to see a wonderfully made and thought out vampire romance in the age of post Twilight

it's just a shame that those twilight kids probably won't see this....and certainly would not like the despondent isolation that comes with this movie

easily my favorite movie so far this year

Nothing new tbh, but I just watched Whatever Happened To Baby Jane and loved it. A solid 8/10, I love old movies and Bette Davis is perfectly creepy.

Oh, and I watched Grey Gardens for like the millionth time - it's so bizarre and sad. Delusional bitter daughter living with her aging needy mother in a house falling apart, yet they still have some dignity about them. Total 10/10 for me.

Better than something: Jay reatard

it's a documentary about his music career and personal life and it's pretty good.
I didn't know he even existed but he was an interesting guy and a decent musician.
i still barely know of his music and the stuff he did but im gonna check it out cause it sounds good.

Totally watching this. I'm a sucker for documentaries, especially ones related to music and true crime. I just watched the Minutemen one, We Jam Econo, and one I forget the name of about X. Both really interesting.

I think you'll like it, it never got boring for me and most of the stories come straight out of his mouth.

i love music docs too, sometimes that's how i discovered alot of the music artists i like today.

Definitely a marmite film. I didn't love it as much as I wanted to but Jude Law is immense and there are some great lines in the film.

Jennifer Aniston is quite simply sex on a stick.
