The Fly is great and I also second Dead Ringers.

Meh I know people really like The Fly but I just found it dull and dated. Had high expectations going in maybe that's why idk but it did not meet them at all

I do really like Perks of Being a Wallflower though

how could you not like Perks of Being a Wallflower

maybe it has to do with the fact that i saw it as a kid and really shook my world at the time.....rewatched it recently as i was burning a copy for my 16 year old nephew....and it really holds up in my mind

speaking of movies that hold up

Basket Case 3: The Progeny

watched this again last night for the first time in well over ten years....and it's still an incredibly weird film

^Looks cool, kind of a b-movie sorta deal? Never heard of it.

I watched Odd Thomas last night. It was... okay. Wasn't spectacular, wasn't terrible. Just your average quirky indie movie with some paranormal stuff going on and just enough one liners from the narrator to keep me entertained. The pot probably helped.

Here's a poster:

Ha, sounds perfect for me.

Shows up on my end. Weird. I didn't know it was based on a book until just now. IDK, never read anything by Koontz but I think he's got a few books for sale at like Safeway and Walgreens and I'm just a little iffy on reading a book on the same shelf as a magazine with 30 tips on how to please your man. Maybe I'm just being cynical though.

As I'm watching it, it all kicked back to me that it's based off of a book series. I loved the movie so much and would love to see more of it on screen. I downloaded the series awhile ago but never got around to reading it. It reminds me a bit of Dead Like Me in certain places. Anton Yelchin did a really good job but I wish Willem Dafoe had a bit more screen time.
