All of Gaspar Noe's films are product of cliches really. I mean, have you seen Enter the Void? A movie filmed in first-person following the soul of a dead man, if that's not Oscar bait...

I'm actually a pretty big fan of his, I was just giving Chula **** because he only has three reasons to justify anything he likes and that's been a hot one lately.

Check out the rape/beating scene and face crushing scene from Irreversible and then get back to me.
If I just wanted to watch the most ****ed up **** possible then I'd go watch Human Centipede or something that isn't just a slasher flick.

Noted. I'm getting kind of bored of slashers TBH. Pretty hit-or-miss genre that's boring as **** when it misses. I'm sure I'll be graduating to more ****ed up **** soon. After checking out The Strangers I'm gonna finally finish watching The Audition and probably some other Takashi Miiki, before indulging in gorey Japanese exploitation horror.

Forgot that, just watch House (Hausu) and call it a day.

Audition is awesome. Check out Martyrs as well, it's the highest quality torture porn there is (though I would hesitate to call it that).

That rape scene is agonizing.

Spoiler for Spoiler:
The fact that he abuses her sexually for such an extended period of time and we get to watch from a close up single point of view is bad enough, but then when that's over he catches his breath and decides to utterly destroy her beauty and face in the most brutal way possible..... I went into that movie in love with Belucci and that scene messed me up for days.
