One of my favorite documentaries actually.

Bill-&-Ted-Dude did another documentary - Deep Web in 2015, and is currently raising funds to salvage and archive the Zappa estate. It begins with pre-production for a film called Who the F*@% Is Frank Zappa?, and if fundraising is successful, he'll publish an art book of goodies and release recordings from the Zappa Family Trust.

I didn't think I could despise Lars Ulrich any more than I already did. Then I saw the film's footage of his Napster publicity stunt.

Ulrich phoned up every news network, set up a podium in front of Napster headquarters, and delivered cases upon cases of form feed paper printouts of every Napster username sharing Metallica tracks to their office in person. He'd made no previous attempt to contact Napster... he just tried to publicly shame them out of existence.

What an a**.

From the reviews it seems most people either love this movie or hate it, either find the depth I found or can't find a trace of it. One thing many reviewers seem to miss is that the boy is mildly autistic, this explains much of his seemingly bizarre behavior.
Anyway, I found the whole experience absolutely stunning. The movie broke me emotionally and then fixed me back up. And to be honest I think it actually helped me with some of my personal issues.
Give it a try.

Interesting, I remember not really liking this at all and I think I even stopped it before finishing it

lol. Why? My college years were 95-00, I didn't realize it was a time people yearned for.

I'm not surprised, from what I read many people couldn't get into it. They said it was cheesy and the boy wasn't likable.. which I guess is true in a way, at least until you realize the boy has Aspergers and the whole movie is shown from his point of view, that's why it's so .. weird at times.
Anyway, I've found that the best movies I've seen, the ones I personally rate the highest, are also the movies many of my friends absolutely abhorred. Watchmen is a great example - I fell in love with the movie, the visuals, the music (and the plot, though I had read the comics before). But many of my friends thought it was pointless and cliche and plain silly.
The way I see it, the truly valuable movies are those that leave no one indifferent. This is one of those movies - you will be hard pressed to find someone that saw it and said "meh, it was ok". You'll either love it or loathe it, and despite what some elitists might think, neither of those options means anything really.

Makes sense to me, I have some cases like that as well. One of my all-time favorites is Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and I have friends that thought it was a joke. And for what it's worth I loved Watchmen

Lol even without the pic I knew immediately what you were talking about

I love the goofiness of that scene but can totally see why it'd be a massive eyeroll-inducer for many viewers
