What's The Latest Film You Have Seen?

Been watching a lot of horror movies with a friend who's pretty into them lately.

He Never Died

Loved it. I'm pretty sure that they just wrote this role around Henry Rollins. My only complaint is that the dialogue at the end is a little too on the nose and heavy handed with the religious element.

Hush

From the makers of Oculus, this movie is about a deaf mute in a remote area being pursued by a psychopath. While it was incredibly well made and suspenseful, they never revealed the killer's motive beyond "he's crazy and just wants to kill people," and that bugged me. Also quite a few wtf are you thinking, of course he's still a threat moments, but it was an excellent watch apart from that.

The Sacrament

Basically a retelling of Jim Jones and the without calling them by their original names. I'd be a lot more impressed if I didn't know about JJ, but it did take an interesting approach to explaining the actions of the people in the cult.

Mr. Jones
Needed a much better soundtrack. The build up was great, but the closing act wasn't as impressive as it thought it was.

The Taking of Deborah Logan
Very gruesome film about an Alzheimer's sufferer who begins acting out violently both to herself and others. Very good and inventive, which is something I always appreciate in horror.

Last night I watched Shzrknado. It had character development, and I could understand

At least they take the time to establish that in Halloween. The guy in Hush just comes out of nowhere.

I'm more into Sharknado for the cameos.

I saw Hardcore Henry recently and even though I loved those music videos that came out and were shot in the same style. I wasn't too sure that I would be okay with a full length movie being in First Person the whole time but it worked. I stepped out to refill my popcorn and

That movie was ****ing AMAZING!!! New top five action movie of all-time, and possibly top action movie of all-time period (I'd have to watch Crank 2 again to be sure). I love how the plot was completely ridiculous and reveled in it, not taking time from the endless action sequence(s) to develop the story, so much as to just take a short breather and set up the next absurd series of awesome ****.

Randomly selected a film from my Philip K Dick inspired filmography. Tonight's film was Screamers.

Holy SH*T that was a bafflingly stupid movie! It's finer qualities included one-dimensional and unrelatable characters, special effects by VideoToaster, campy acting, a stupifying ten-minute love interest subplot, an unbelievably contrived and needlessly complicated climax, and a BUT WAIT!!!! ending that inspires the viewer to kill it with fire.

I loved it.
