The movie's too confusing. Knowing the plot made me more eager to see it than ever. The description was so freaky that I couldn't wait to experience it visually. And knowing what happened while watching it made me love it so much I gave it a 100. That's rare for me. Only 8 other movies get that from me.

He's not gonna know what's going on in the vid I posted. Plus, I gave him the option.

YouTube videos don't load on my phone so I haven't watched any videos posted, I did just look this thing up though and discovered it's the wrap up to a TV series. Is the movie worth watching if you haven't seen the series?

^I'm curious of this as well since my interest is now piqued.

It's not a standalone movie in any sense. It's basically a replacement ending for the last two episodes of the series, so it would be like jumping into the show itself at the climax, and Evangelion is such a dense series that you would be completely lost if you did so. And considering just how central character development is to the series, then coming in at the very end of all of the characters' arcs would rob you of the vast majority of what you're supposed to be getting from the movie.

Just go watch the TV series. It's only one season long, and if I would recommend one anime to someone who doesn't watch or even like anime, it would be this series, battling seizure robots or not.

I don't mind anime, I'm just not super into it. I watched Attack on Titan and enjoyed that.

Yes, but watching the TV show helps. Its a pretty psyched-up movie. I'd imagine you'd give it 8 at max without seeing the series, which is 26 episodes.

Then go watch Evangelion. But keep your razors and bottle of sleeping pills locked up if you want to avoid killing yourself afterward. It's pretty ****ing bleak.
