I don't generally find myself that disturbing or disturbed. I mean, sure I believe a murderer deserves a worse punishment than death, but I don't want to fantasize about the methods or anything.

Having said that, I thimk using some film and sound techniques can make Watership Down more disturbing,

Netflix IW has a lot of Gregory Peck right now, so I'll haver my hands full with that. I need to watch more Peck.

Have you seen "The Boys from Brazil"? Peck, Olivier, and Mason trying to one up each other in the acting dept. Scary premise too.

Incredible film making on every technical level but my main issue with it is that a man as vile and confrontational as Daniel Plainview, in that day and age, would have gotten an anonymous bullet in the back pretty early on from one of his many rivals. The fact that he was allowed to carry on like that for decades to serve the movie's narrative killed it for me.

Says who? I think that's a rather bold assumption considering no one from that time is still around (at least not from the first couple acts.) Also, it's a movie, and if he died early on, well then, there wouldn't have been a movie.

I think I agree with Chula. However, he seemed tolerable enough until the end of the movie. I just didn't get a "vile" vibe, let alone a simplke "*******" vibe. I just thought of him as a strict businessman. I mean, yeah he

beat that sucker Eli Sunday pretty hard for demanding the money, but his adopted som DID lose his hearing.


Also, I think the only Peck movie I've seen is To Kill a Mockingbird. I understand he's in both Cape Fear's.
