Back to the Future, again. Great movie. Why is it so addicting?

I recommend everyone to watch the director's previous film Blue Ruin. It's similar in some ways and imo superior.
What didn't work for you?

Got blazed last night and finally watched the last Evangelion Rebuild movie. Pretty sure it was awesome. I think I might have imagined a plot point that, were it any other series, I would be convinced is too ludicrous to have happened, but it is Evangelion, and this movie finally made the last, bat-**** crazy break with canon so I can be sure of nothing. Would/need to watch sober.

I just restarted the show today. "Damn good show" doesn't even-gelion describe its quality.

Some of the gore felt out of place. Not that it was too extreme, it just felt as if the film was ready and then they randomly inserted it afterwards. Also the paintball story and the whole running gag about favourite bands were kinda corny.
I know, I'm nitpicking. Overall it was great fun.

The things you mentioned did seem out of place a bit, like half thought ideas, but to me, none of it mattered. The intensity, acting, and ability to push the limits with the space provided sent the film over the edge for me. I loved it.

I saw my second showing of Ghostbusters tonight but I just had to see it in 3D. There are a few cringy parts but overall it was decent and I loved all the cameos. They couldn't let us forget the fan backlash against a female team. Tossed in two jokes about it.
