I can take or leave Star Wars but I'm getting a little excited to see it too.

This is true. Hush just didn't do that very successfully though. Seriously solid film otherwise though, the female character was really well written. If they had built his character up to the same level as hers (not even what I suggested before exactly, just...more), it'd be a 5/5 film.

Phenomena (1985)

Checked out this horror/mystery movie mainly because it inspired the original Clock Tower game for the SNES.
In short summary, Jennifer Connelly plays a young girl with a psychic connection to bugs, which in turn helps her trying to solve a string of mysterious murders.

Not a flawless movie by any means, but it was interesting, atmospheric and definitely stuck with me, and yes, some bits also made my stomach churn slightly, though I don't want to spoil it if you'd like to watch it for yourself.

The entire affair is pretty archetypically 80's, especially the soundtrack, which also had some contemporary metal songs randomly thrown in. It's kind of narmy while simultaneously kind of awesome when Iron Maiden suddenly blurts out during a dramatic sequence. Now on to watch the more broadly acclaimed Suspiria from the same director, I guess.

Oh, and the monkey was funny.

Watched The Witch. Either I missed something or whatever but this is easily one of the worst experiences with a movie that I've ever had. None of it made sense. Hour of talking and 10 minutes of action.

It's all about atmosphere and taking the viewer back to that time without adding any sugar coated action or dialogue just to make it easier to swallow for today's audience.

Basically the movie is like stepping into a time machine and coming our 400 years ago. I thought it was KILLER and the slow burn towards the ending was perfect and made it that much more creepy.
