What's The Latest Film You Have Seen?

I actually only saw a few snippets of the show before I saw Serenity a few years ago and didn't like it (a mix of western and sci/fi? What?) but I liked Serenity so much that I eventually gave it another go a few months ago and ended up loving it. But the film just takes it all to a new level.

I've seen it before, and I've always loved it. Some people, like my boyfriend, don't think the film should've ever been made... I disagree. I think Scorcese does good in honouring the Hustler (which was also a wonderful, wonderful film for it's time... hell, for this time) in this 26-years-later sequel. The movies soundtrack is superb, the acting is spot on, and the ambience takes the cake.

The Hustler was a landmark film.

Color of Money is very good, but I felt it could have been better, I was expecting it to expand more on Fast Eddie's character and it really didn't unfortunately, Newman is still great though.

Tom Cruise is good, but his character just isn't as interesting, neither does the story come close to the first film.

Then again I haven't seen this film in a while.

The Hustler was fantastic. The story well developed, the acting excellent, the characters were spot on...

In Color, Eddie Felson was still Eddie Felson, I wasn't dissapointed with that aspect. Tom Cruise's character was entertaining, the scene in Chalky's where he takes the Balabooshka (sp?) stick and is knockin' Mozell (sp?) out in 9 ball to Werewolves of London is goddamn fantastic.

The story does lack a but, as compared to the Hustler... but still an interesting endeavour non the less. I felt it could've gone a little further than the ending took it, but the ending did put a smile on my face.

"And if I don't getchya then, I'll getchya next month in N'orleans."

"Yeah, what makes you so sure?"

He breaks like a sledgehammer. "I'm back."

I just watched a copy of Seven Pounds that my friend had.

You basically have no idea what is going on throughout the entire movie until the very last moments where the final pieces fall together. This, I thought, was very cool, but also a little frustrating. However, in the end I thought it was pretty awesome. Could have had a little more depth but definitely worth seeing. Will Smith is great.

I love Color Of Money and whilst it's not as good as The Hustler, it is still a great piece of cinema with a great score. Must have seen this about 5 times now. Great choice.

I have a routine with The Color of Money. I watch it almost every night when I'm not looking forward to the day after when I wake up. It seems to put me in a "you can do anything" mood, as corny as that sounds. I think it's Paul Newman's character beginning to get it all back at the end.
