Holy fucking shit that movie is insane!
I didn't think anyone else knew about it.
One of my favorite trippy movies too.

Sometimes we forget how insanely lucky we are in the first world. A documentary shot in 2004, it concerns 'Chimeres'. Street militia acting on behalf of the dictatorship in Tahiti. With this film it's what you DON'T see that is more harrowing.

Saw this at the midnight screening last night. And as being a long time fan of the graphic novel I was a bit skeptical at how they would adapt it to the screen. Although it definitely is not as good as the book it did do it justice, and I thought that they did the best they could. Plus the film is just mind-blowing at how good it looks. It's fantastic go see it.

9/10

Most of my friends who went to the midnight screening said that it was a let down, because 'all they did was talk about their feelings'.

More importantly, Take a Bow by Muse is in it. Automatic win.

I've been meaning to see that for ages.

i imagine that's the reaction the producers were gunning for; i think it's totally unnecessary for a film that's set in the 1980's and 40's respectively. I won't be paying to see it in the cinema but from all the press it looks like they have gone to great lengths to duplicate the images in the comic, which will please the all-important demographic of existing fans.

Sounds like your friends never read the book. The story isn't an action story, it's mostly about character.
