rah f*cking Tetsuo! I saw it once of Film Four (back when it was good etcetc) and recently chased up some clips and it's... something else. Is this making an appearance in the horror corner? I'm gonna catch Videodrome in it's entirety for once today then I'll read the review proper

I watched Mr.Woodc.ock.

Billy Bob Thornton always manages to do a good job of playing a total jerk, like in Bad Santa. He's the guy you love to hate.

Anyways, he plays a gym teacher and treats the kids in his class like garbage, particularly one chubby kid. Fast forward 13 years later and the chubby kid is now a successful writer (played by Seann William Scott) who goes back to his hometown and finds out his former gym teacher is dating his mom.

8/10. It was pretty funny.

Obviously being an old git, I would say that the original is far superior and it is a genuine classic but as far as remakes go, the 2004 effort wasn't too bad.

I am such a fan of the original that I paid £30 for this 4 disc edition of the film with 3 different cuts and tons of extras:

Honestly, I'd say I like them about the same. The remake has a pretty different vibe from the original which I think helped it have more of its own identity for me. The original has cleverer social commentary than the remake but in some ways I actually think the remake is the scarier of the two. I found the part with the woman's husband right at the beginning to be particularly freaky and disturbing.

oh damn, I'm impressed. I'll definitely give it a watch this weekend since you seem to like it so much and you have one of the best taste in movies of anybody i've ever met.

Yeah, I found that pretty freaky. Also when they shot the baby, that really freaked me out a bit.

The whole thing with the girl going after that dog seemed pretty ridiculous to me.
