Your image link is broken, but yeah Training Day was a great, tense movie. Especially the "have you ever had your shit pushed in" scene.

The special effects were pretty awesome, the Russian was annoying, Spock and Kirk were perfectly cast, Pegg was a nice surprise, the story ultimately uninportaint... 6/10

I've read somewhere that this was supposed to be brilliant and original and whatnot...it wasn't. Just an ordinary story of two people going nowhere, the only thing distinguishing them from the millions of other dirty, poor people is that they were related to Jacky O. Jessica Lang was pretty great though. 5.5/10

Very good indie flick. Similar in mood to Wendy and Lucy but more thrilling. 8/10

Dipped into my 5 disc limited set (only 9,999 copies made) of this cult classic from director Richard Stanley (Fields Of The Nephilim vid's/Hardware/BBC doc's etc) a couple of days back. It's a highly metaphorical tale of a serial killer linked into African myth and it touches upon witchcraft and magic. The film itself is like Tarkovsky on acid and is a cult gem.

I saw it in the cinema and was pleasantly surprised. The movie was more entertaining than I thought it would be! Although not perfect, everything worked for me .. Nowhere as satisfying as Watchmen, but still one of the better films I've seen at the cinema the last couple of years or so.
