Anyway, I haven't seen anything lately except Watchmen, whenever it came out. Apparently, the BF was into the graphic novel... funny how he waited three years to spring that addiction on me.

(I'm totally stealing that chicks hair though.)

You should be happy for that, in my experience with Alan Moore adaptations it`s best to see the movie first then read the graphic novel. My first experience was with the movie From Hell, an older friend of mine is a huge Moore fan so he lent me some of his collections and that was one of them. I read it and loved it, then eventually saw the movie in 2004 and was so utterly disappointed by the translation, even though the movie itself was quite adequate. Exact same thing with V for Vendetta, the movie on its own standards was brilliantly executed, but as far as a translation of the graphic novel, forget it. I decided not to make this same mistake with The Watchmen so I have yet to read it or see it.

From what I gathered (on the LONNNG car ride home after seeing it), the movie's ending differed greatly from the graphic novel, like in a big plot changing way. I personally drank and smoked beforehand, and little of the storyline stuck with me. Then again, I'm more of a weird Japanese movie fan, and less of a Harry Star Lord-a-formers person. (Harry Potter, Star Wars, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, Transformers. Meh.) Although, I wouldn't suggest you ruling it out completely... it had its graphically appealing moments.

The last in director Dario Argento's eagerly awaited 'Three Mother's' trilogy (the other two being Suspiria and Inferno). Unfortunately like most of Argento's the plot is haphazard and with numerous plotholes but you generally watch Argento for stunning set pieces and the use of the camera. Once again it was lacking with very few of his trademark tracking shots and the murder set pieces were fairly mundane. A brutal cleaver in the face shot aside this was quite average

Oh no I'm not ruling it out at all, I'm just waiting to watch the movie first. If I had already read the comic I would know the plot, the characters, and so on and then I would have existing expectations for the movie, which it would inevitably be unable to live up to.

Pretty good. Saw it on the space channel. the fight scenes are amazing.

I love this movie so much.
I never knew that Mike Judge did it and now I'm looking for that comic it's based off of.
The soundtrack is pretty raw too.

Last movie I saw was X-Men Origins: Wolverine. That was on opening night, so nothing since then.

really gripping movie about the effects of PTSD on a post-war infantry unit. god i love Tommy Lee Jones and Charlize Theron.
