What's The Latest Film You Have Seen?

^god i love that film. For some reason my not-so-little sister has always been obsessed with it, in fact you have just reminded me of the perfect crimbo gift, cheers

If the Carpenter/Russell commentary is anywhere near as good as the B/T in Little China one then that will be worth the asking price alone...
any remake, and there will be one, is going to totally miss the point of the original - it's low tech charm ('retro' is difficult to say out loud) and hamminess, having said that it is still the apex of cool and they don't make em like that anymore. Any fans of the original Metal Gear Solid, watch Escape From New York because it nicked most of its ideas from this movie.

edit: f*cking amazing supporting cast too, donald pleasance, lee van cleef, isaac hayes, legendary harry dean stanton
edit 2: in fact screw this CGI balls, i would take the model FX in this movie anyday, it didnt kill any of the illusion, infact it made it more fantastical and appealing

The cast all did a good job, I'm into this whole Jesse Eissenberg/Michael Cera awkward lead role business. I just felt the movie as a whole was mediocre and was comparing it to Shaun of the Dead for the duration. Shaun of the Dead is miles better.

I watched Doghouse and G-force today. No idea why i watched either but both were reasonably entertaining surprisingly enough. Doghouse is pretty much what i expected but a little funnier and G-force was surprisingly entertaining.

Very interesting idea, very well directed, but the shoddy 50s acting takes away from the experience. Plus, those lasers near the end were just ridiculous...Good watch nonetheless. Didn't know they made a remake...should've watched that one instead maybe...:/ 6/10

was that the 70's version of the Andromeda Strain you saw?
I keep confusing it with this similar 70's movie about two scientists researching killer (possibly radioactive) swarms of ants from a sterilized bubble-like facility, in Nevada... sound familiar to anyone?
