Finding Neverland was quite dramatic as was Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, he didn't seem to have a problem in either. I fail to see why you don't think a dramatic actor can't pull it off.

Because they are 3 dimensional? He's played a lot of interesting characters with different depths.

i can't compare depp and deniro? are you joking? why not, they're two, working american actors who we happen to be talking about. deniro, especially in his younger days was a very talented method actor who would carry diverse dramatic roles (from michael vronsky in the deer hunter, to vito corleone in the godfather part II, to jake lamotta, travis bickle, etc.). he's not really doing anything nowadays, but when he was younger he was a far better actor than depp ever was.

Edward would be quite an outspoken little fella if Deniro played him.

Solid documentary about the infamous all day Psychedelic gig in '67 in London with Pink Floyd being a big factor. Well worth a watch even if you don't like Floyd. It's more a talking heads doc as opposed to a music doc as very little footage survives of the gig.

Once you master the accent, the rest is easy basically. Not true in the case of Depp though as I'm not a big fan personally. Being quirky and esoteric in your roles doesn't necessarily mean you are a good actor. His London accent was appalling in the film 'In Hell'. He did a slightly better job in Sleepy Hollow though which is probably my favourite Depp film (probably due to it's massive Hammer horror films influence than anything else).

I enjoyed this movie as well, I thought it was relatable because I come from a big Italian family. It was corny but I still enjoyed it!
