Yeah, there are many much worse movies out there I guess.

I've heard a lot of good things about Manhunter and still haven't watched it, so I'll make sure I get round to it sometime soon.

Red Dragon just falls into the pitfalls of any lazy, generic thriller though, but I'll admit there are a few enjoyable bits in it though (the old flaming wheelchair for example). Quite disappointing as an addition to the series overall though.

Plus I don't think box office success necessarily equates to a great film, but that's just me thing.

Just because people want to pay their money to go and see it doesnt mean its a good film. You cant judge it until after you have given your money so this kind of reasoning doesnt make any sense.

A very nice purchase alongwith The Dark Knight for a total of £8. Love Michael Caine and this is so funny. I hadnt seen it in years and so very much enjoyed it earlier today.

It sucks. Embarassing take on a classic.

It's shit. Well, it's fine.. Good fun I suppose. Worth a watch but I'd go in with low expectations.

Really enjoyed that one myself too, but I wouldn't quite put it up there with my favourites. The remake was an absolute travesty for those who don't know.

It did give birth to arguably the most fun football chant ever as well, which is cool in my books

It's more like a Lebanese version of Vénus beauté, or maybe Beauty Shop.
Anyway, I really enjoyed that film when it came out. Has some very funny yet sad moments.
a friend saw it earlier and told me that it is just like Sex and the City the Arabic way, so I really expected it to be shallow, but I quite enjoyed it, and I can say that it is one of the better movies I have seen this year

That's good to hear .

Shallow might be the last word I'd use to describe this movie. I might even say it's over emotional.

It revived in some way the local industry. At least, for the first time in post-1975 Lebanon, a film doesn't talk about the Lebanese war, but the Lebanese society, and quite genuinely.
So I should say, it has become a classic.

Finally a movie we can incorporate its dialogue in every day life jokes.

I'm trying to remember the name of a movie I saw awhile back and I figured I would just ask in here. It pretty much revolves around a guy and his daughter. Some guy keeps talking to and visiting his daughter while she's outside and he gets worried and blah blah blah. At the culmination of the movie him and the cops have the girl playing (while they keep watch) in a river and wait for the guy to come. It then switches to a shot of something hanging from a rear view mirror while you see the back of a man's hands on the wheel. After a long time of waiting they call it off and go home and then he's all angry saying he'll show up and such. It was a weird one.
