It's just that they're complementary, and in a way Cinema is a extension to all the other forms of Art. Putting away a whole decade, which also the most revolutionary decade in Cinema History and the one that has made what cinema is now, and the cinema you love so much, is very much pure ignorance.

90s and 00s cinema didn't pop out from nowhere, and neither did Cinema. AND DON'T YOU EVER DISREGARD PAINTING IN THAT MANNER!!

Actually, film does rely on technology because it didn't exist until thousands of years later with the invention of film recording...

Haha well without cave paintings there wouldn't be Da Vinci but I ain't gonna go to a cave art gallery...

^Why won't you? Disregarding a whole civilisation just because it's old? Ever felt like knowing why they were painting these bulls on the wall ?

Not really. Animation existed, and it was projected to the masses.

Because it's boring and I have other hobbies that I would prefer to devote my time to. I'd rather play video games or go to a baseball game or cook or read or listen to music or something.

If you prefer playing baseball, it doesn't mean that the thousands of years dedicated to Art are not worthy of the Humanity's interest. The Universe doesn't revolve around your interest.

All I wanted to say:
If you found that film good, you can't say "it's not bad for a 60s film", but you can say, that you don't usually find this genre of films appealing, and was surprised by that one.

You just can't talk about your opinion so factually. I have my least favourite cinematic genres, but I just can't say they're boring, cz they played a role in the cinematic evolution.
