I don't think it's the confusion that drives you to rewatch it. There's not much of a plot to understand. It's just wanting to see more of every character. They're all outstanding.

Sunshine Cleaning

^Not a bad feel good movie from the producers of Little Miss Sunshine, not as good obviously, just quite watchable. There wasn't much of a dramatic evolution in the characters, though they did evolve, but I somehow wondered "what's the use". There are a lot of unanswered questions about some characters' fate, I realised.

I enjoyed it, that's all. It didn't move me in any way, neither did it inspire me or bring me any kind of joy. It's the kind of film, you stumble upon on tv, and keep it on, just to pass the time.

Happiness

^Now that's one twisted dark comedy. You watch it, and you hope that you won't in your life meet such kinds of people. So absurd. I'd definitely recommend it, one of the best Dark Comedies I've seen in ages.

An Education

The British accent seem a bit stuck in my head after watching this one (seems like I'm thinking in British for now). Anyway, the film, it's such an honest story. Not too dramatic, nor is it lightweight. The story of a bright girl in 1961 Britain, struggling to find a future for herself. It kind of reminded me of Mona Lisa Smile (one of my guilty pleasures), but this time from the opposite side of the pond, with the student being the protagonist instead of the teacher. I quite liked this one. Definitely one of the best films from last year.

Surprisingly good soundtrack. Michael Cera adorable as usual, and sort of reminded me of 500 Days of Summer but with a happier relationship. Reminded me of why I love Edgar Wright. Effects were awesome. Gonna get it on DVD once it comes out.

^Trying to find myself some UK films to watch. Stumbled on this one reading an interview with Ellen Page, as she stated this film as her favourite film by her favourite female director. The Scottish indie director Lynne Ramsay that was.
I downloaded it last week, and just watched it. A wonderful yet harsh film.

In Glasgow, Summer of 1973, a wee boy called James, is living during the Dustmen's striking, and the threat of a plague. There's not much of a plot really. We're somehow following James as he goes in the reeking streets of Glasgow. The film is so raw, still it seems purely poetic at times. A balance of contrast that I found quite shocking.
A film I loved, that's for sure.

anyone else collect ticket stubs? i have a ton from back in the day, but i probably only see 5 or so movies in the theater a year. ever since i got the internetz... i probably starting collecting them 15 years ago.
