My boyfriend saw the original and said the two are very similar. You should check it out and let me know what you think.

Even if you take away the whole vampire thing you're left with a sweet love story between two lonely kids. Marvelous film.
The Americanized version came out today, I'm tempted to go pirate it, but at the same time a part of me thinks staying ignorant may be better in this situation. I'm not convinced that American remakes of foreign films all suck, The Departed is proof of that, but I have a feeling Let Me In (2010) will be on the same level that Quarantine (2008) was with Rec (2007)

^ I'm actually pretty pumped for the remake. The commercials make it look pretty good. I like that they didn't use older actors for the kids like most Hollywood remakes would. I'm gonna be seeing that when it comes to our theater.

I'll probably give that a miss when it's released over here. I don't think i've ever been impressed by an american remake, and since i enjoyed that film so much i know for sure i'll be completely disappointed by the remake. I'll keep an eye on the reviews though just in case.

The Car (1977)
I saw this movie on TV when I was a little kid and it scared crap out of me. I hadn't seen it since then so I watched it today. It's actually still pretty entertaining. Is it still scary? Well... let me answer that question with a picture:

Duel is still the daddy when it comes to bad ass automobile tactics but I remember this one too! We should so do a B movie night (if possible lol).

Have you ever seen The Wraith starring a young Charlie Sheen? Great soundtrack too! It's crap but a watchable sort of crap.

Haha, I used to love that movie when I was a young 'un. I thought the car in it was so cool! Went back and re-watched it in my 20s and found it pretty funny. I remember in having a lot of funny flubs in it where camera equipment was visible.
