^^Yeah, that and 12 year-olds aren't too keen on movies entirely in sub-titles...

I'm still proud of myself for watching (and enjoying) Seven Samurai when I was eight.

Kurt (V&F) would've been 12 and I would have been 11 - I only watched it this year as well. I remember the films I was seeing around that time, I actually went to see Scooby Doo, Cats & Dogs, Minority Report and Austin Powers at the cinema around 2001-2003. I had no grasp on anything good around that age, just really bad comedies.
minority report and austin powers were good though.

I've still not got around to seeing it.
It's a bit of an epic, I need to make sure I'm really in the mood for a 3 and a half hour Samurai film.
I only started to get into films when I was 16 or 17, I've covered quite a bit of ground in 2 years or so.
Even when I was like 14 I was watching shit like Click thinking it was one of the best dramatic tear-jerking twists I'd seen.
Fail.

Austin Powers Goldmember?
I liked the first, and the other 2 hold sentimental value but they really are piss poor.
And Minority Report, despite its plot holes is a pretty engaging film. But the length doesn't justify itself.
Pretty decent film, all things considering.
I only went because my sister was going through a Donnie Darko/listening to Nirvana phase and wanted to go and see it, so I went along.
Best out of a pretty bad bunch I'd say.

Exact same sentiments with the 40 Shrek films.

For the record:

I love Minority Report and don't care what negative things TCS has to say about it.

Goldmember is the shit.

I never, ever wanted to see Scooby Doo or Cats & Dogs. I was too busy seeing Catwoman and Rush Hour 3!

I have no idea what Seven Samurai is...

Seven Samurai along with Shogun Assassin are must see samurai films.....also Throne Of Blood

saw it last night and i have to say that so far out of all of the movies this is the best....they chopped up the book a little(as always) but still followed it quite well....it was intense, funny, sad....pretty much everything one would want out of a blockbuster....i will see it again....i cannot wait for July to come....also it (Part 1) features Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds

It was pretty good. I got a good sense of the period throughout the film.
