There Will Be Blood = 5/10 the best movie Sean Connery was never in, I can completely understand Daniel Day Lewis being snubbed after seeing this

Into The Wild - In a word :Amazing
Sean Penn created an amazing picture here, you seem to care about every single character that gets introduced. A truly moving experience which makes you question how YOU touch other people's lives. 9/10

I saw Taxidermia the other night when I was blazed with flatmates... I meant to see it at the film festival last year with one of my current flatmates and a girl, but the tickets had sold out. =[

Having said that, it's probably fortunate that we didn't see that, because it would have been too weird/gory for her. And it probably is the goriest most obscene movie I've seen. I watched it again last night with one of my flatmates to see if we could make any more sense of it in a sober state. We could, but it was still confusing.

Taxidermia is stylistically interesting, and I like the atmosphere and underlying 'humans are animals' theme throughout. But it doesn't pack a lot of content though. Still, it was an amusing watch.

Sorely disappointed with this one. Good soundtrack though.

I watched The Third Man and Shrooms yesterday, both were quite entertaining,
though one was much much much better than the other
(see if you can guess)

considering that DDL was channeling john huston not connery i can't believe you gave TWBB a 5/10, Into the Wild is a much weaker film with a protagonist that for all intents and purposes was a douche who got what he had coming.. he was a stupid kid that made stupid mistake after stupid mistake and got himself killed.. the only redeeming aspect of ITW is the performances by supporting characters and that penn didn't lead it into "Chris is a hero" land and lecture the audience on going green.. for that i can say that ITW is watchable, but not fit to hold the balls of the guy who's milkshake is being drunk.

I am Legend - They changed a lot of stuff from the book and it had a happy ending so I didn't like it.
