Easy A, the new comedy with Emma Stone in it, best known as Jules from Superbad. It's pretty funny, definitely recommended.

Pitch Black, its prequel, is much better - have you seen that?

I thought Chronicles was the prequel even though it came out after Pitch Black

nah Chronicles is the sequel - the little girl from Pitch Black has grown up in Chronicles, the Arab youngster in PB is now a middle-aged man

I think you're confusing Chronicles with the video game Escape from Butcher Bay, which is the prequel to both PB and Chronicles

there is also a linking cartoon/anime from PB to Chronicles, which I can't remember the name of

I just saw True Grit, completely fantastic movie until right at the very end, what a stupid ending! Stupid old hag. It was like the writers got bored of writing it.
