That's all I wanted. Sometimes you can have a movie be just really ****ing awesome without character development. This was one of those films.

I have no idea what anybody said in this movie. Heartbreaking ending.

6.5/10 (because anybody not from Yorkshire has no idea what's being said)

Decided to run through Jet Li's movies.

Kiss of the Dragon

The plot didn't really have much to it, which pretty much is the biggest flaw of the movie. The action scenes however were thrilling. It's really enjoyable to watch especially the manuevring of the combat. They selected a couple of pretty interesting opponents. The blonde twins and the African American boxer. The ending was pretty quick done, which is kind of unexpected. It's a real pleasure watching Jet Li and his killer moves.

Overall: 7/10

The only one of Jet Li's American movies that I've seen that was any good. The other ones are just god awful ****e. Story lines so terrible that they just make you cringe and the boring Americanized fight scenes. I don't know why Americans almost never know how to do martial arts action scenes, but they just can't.

ok...i will admit that going into this i was very biased.....a movie about my favorite director making my favorite movie...should be a no brainer that i would love this....but

i was not expecting it to be that good....first off major nods to both Hopkins and Mirren....as really this film is a love story about them and both were phenomenal in their roles....Johansson was a perfect Leigh....and the surprise performance for me was Biel.....the entire cast was perfect seriously perfect

this film made me laugh, cry and smile for about three hours after seeing it.....this is the best film i've seen in 2012 and it is a crime against humanity that it is not getting the exposure it deserves

Despite some good performances I thought this movie was pretty dull, and strangely enough, also somewhat confusing. Lots of characters, many of them of unknown identity, talking and talking and talking and talking and talking, but mostly covering the same ground again and again.

Interesting. I definitely will watch this someday, after it's out of the theaters. Your post challenges me to recognize some of those unrecognizable characters who talk, talk, talk, and talk. I'll try to report back after I've seen it.

I just watched another documentary: Bones Brigade: An Autobiography. (Yes, netflix streaming). It's a pretty great film and sort of eye-opening to everyone like me who was a child when this was happening and who assumed that Bones Brigade were a team of insane drug-addled skaters.

Turns out they were a bunch of wholesome little kids.

I loved Lincoln, it held my interest for the duration and I was able to piece together who the characters were and what role they played pretty quickly. My only gripes is that there seemed to be an unrealistic amount of cussing for that time period and that they didn't cut it off after the scene where

It would have ended it on a higher note, the final scene had too much of that Spielberg sentimentalism.

Really? I had no idea, for example, through the entire movie who Hal Holbrook was supposed to be playing. Luckily he's an actor I'm familiar with so I was able to look it up when I got home, but I still didn't really understand what his significance in the movie was.

Yeah, I had the same thought about that scene.

As far as the swearing goes though, I think that's actually pretty accurate. A lot of English swear words have been around for centuries.
