Also just recently saw Alien and the 3rd Star Trek for the first time.

Alien was great. Even decades of pop culture references couldn't ruin the feel of it after all this time. 3rd Star Trek was a washout.

Heaven Can Wait. (1978 version)

Always been a fave. Was nominated for 9 Academy Awards. Excellent cast and a killer premise. Very funny but also very moving at times. Dated? Yes. But the story is timeless. Great date movie too.

Nah, the acting is top notch. What's really cool is that Beatty and Christie were an item at the time so the chemistry is really natural. Kinda like Pitt and Jolie in Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

Technically speaking and the overall look of the movie is a bit dated.

Oh, and Dyan Cannon in her prime is well worth the price of admission.

Idk bud but I try not to put her at fault for it. Definitely hard trying to enjoy things I like with her but at least I'm open to whatever anyways. She got me to watch Interstellar and I cried 4 times.

She mostly watches B horror movies. And she's way into labelling things as pretentious quickly. Really gets on my nerves but it's whatever.

I feel like Darjeeling Limited was my proper introduction to Wes Anderson. I did see The Royal Tenenbaums and The Life Aquatic when I was younger but I just passed them off as pretty boring movies and I felt like I didn't quite get the charm and appeal of his movies. Darjeeling changed all of that though, I should go back and watch those two other movies now that I have a greater appreciation for his work. OOooo, I love David Lynch films. I feel like I don't even have to understand them to love it. I don't have to follow what's going on. The more random I think something is the better. Also something that may appear to be random ends up being meaningful but I usually don't completely understand until I read analysis pieces from other people online.

I had to watch Interstellar twice before the waterfalls started. The first time I watched it was a bit confusing because I was just like half ass watching it in the background while at my desk.

Oh man, that last scene with the daughter hit me right in the chest. I even the knew I was about to get all misty-eyed, but it didn't help.

Yup, I agree. When I heard the new Oulja was supposed to be good I couldn't help but question that. Probably the 2nd best horror movie I've seen this year, 2nd to The Witch obv. The director has slowly been making a pretty good name for himself, he did Hush and Oculus as well. Even though I'm not as big on the movies as others tend to be, they're definitely pretty good for mainstream (well, at least Oculus) horror movies.
