I watched the 'The Hills Have Eyes' and the reboot. I liked the original better.

Having not seen the original I cannot possibly comment, but this still feels a bit extreme.

Venom was a lot better than I thought it would be even if it was still definitely flawed. The action scenes were inconsistent and not particularly creative, but Venom could still be a ****ing cool manimal even if either the money or the technology wasn't there to truly do him justice. The second half of the movie wasn't as good as the first half as well, but that was mainly do to it being less about Tom Hardy being the absolute best part of the film. Tom Hardy ruled as Eddie Brock and made Venom a viable candidate as a great character in future Sony/Marvel movies. And yeah that could be a thing since word is that Venom is a reboot of Sony's Marvel universe that is in continuity with Spider-Man Homecoming.

So I'm now totally stoked for a movie with Spider-Man and Venom (that will hopefully be more Marvel than Sony), and at least very curious how Venom might be integrated into the MCU. So pleasantly surprised even if not over the moon.

Oh and there's a terrible wig that made what should have an immensely awesome scene unintentionally hilarious, but I hope and imagine it will be sorted out at some point. It was just the worst wig ever and there's no way fan response won't beat it into Sony's head that this can not continue.

Watched about 15 minutes of Eight grade. They seemed to capture pretty accurately what it is to be a 13 year old girl in 2018 America. I don't know why anyone other than 13 year olds would want to watch that though. So annoying.

The original The Longest Yard. Damn, Eddie Albert was such a prick in that movie.

Starship Troopers could have been a great movie, but instead it was off in all the right ways to make it awful.
