The Lighthouse is out on digital and physical so everybody should watch it, I would honestly call it my #1 favorite film at this point. Excited to get my bluray copy soon

Finally watched the whole new Star Wars trilogy and I think I'll have to read the Heir to the Empire book trilogy to remind myself that new Star Wars doesn't have to suck.

 The opening scene alone made me fall almost instantly in love with this movie. Aesthetically it is gobsmacking with some of the most gorgeous cinematrography I've seen in a war movie.

I found the 2nd act to be quite a bit weaker than the rest. Main character runs through areas in a straight line while the Germans were like ****ing Stormtroopers missing point blank shots, it took me out of the experience a little bit because it was such a clear usage of plot armor. The first and third acts though were perfection, so many incredible scenes and moments, the film really puts you through a lot of emotions. You can feel the disgusting dirt and grime as they trudge through the mud and the trenches, you feel the desperation and hopelessness at points, and you definitely feel those final moments with Blake's brother. 1st and 3rd act 10/10, 2nd act 6/10, overall 9/10

So every film that uses war as part of its storyline is automatically a propaganda movie? I think you should see it first. It wasn’t a piece of trash like American Sniper or something
