It was nominated for a whole bunch and won none of them.

All Spielberg movies are well known, of course, but where I grew up, The Color Purple seems to have fallen in the shadow of his other films.. even those that are arguably weaker, like Hook (which I still enjoy).

Fantastic movie. The participation of Jack Lemmon almost always guaranteed a great movie. Love the ending. Neil Simon is a great playwright.

Recently watched the Cornetto trilogy over the last couple days. I'd only ever seen Shaun of the Dead which is still pretty awesome. I think it's still my favorite out of the three but The World's End is a close second.

Those are great. Shaun of the Dead is probably still GOAT but it makes me wish the Super Troopers guys had done a similar kind of trajectory cause it sounds like they woul've if they hadn't been one hit wonders

Peeping Tom (1960)

Pretty good British exploitation/crime/horror/suspense type of film. The poster shows an "X" rating but it's not a porn flick. The British rating of "X" was for films considered suitable for those aged 16 or over at that time.
